Huawei announced the latest flagship smartphone "P20" series in Paris, France on March 27 (local time).
Two models, the standard model "P20" and the top model "P20 Pro", have been released (the silent entry model "P20 Lite" appeared), but the P20 Pro is the first smartphone, the first. The triple lens camera with a lens is a major feature. In Japan, it was announced on the 16th as a NTT DOCOMO's 2018 summer 2018 model. Here, I would like to thoroughly dissect the entire 20 Pro, focusing on the camera function. In this first part, I will check the camera performance that I am most interested in.
■ファーウェイ「P20 Pro」徹底レビュー【前編】【中編】【後編】
The P20 Pro has a very substantial specifications like a flagship model, but it has the same SOC as the Mate 10 series, so there is almost no performance evolution. In such a situation, the P20 Pro has evolved greatly from the conventional model. It is a camera.
The Huawei smartphone is equipped with a double lens camera from the P9 series. At present, double -lens cameras are expanding at a stretch even on other companies' smartphones, but the trend is undoubtedly a Huawei smartphone. And in the P20 Pro, it has evolved further by adopting the world's first triple lens camera.
Let's look at the photos taken with the triple lens camera, the biggest feature of the P20 Pro, the best feature of the P20 Pro, which is the best way to see the exterior and camera specifications next time. The P20 Pro triple lens camera has a combination of 40 million rgb sensors, 8 million pixels RGB sensors, and 20 million pixels monochrome sensors.
First, I took a picture of the tile wall and checked the lens distortion.
The first one was taken with the main lens, and the second one was taken with a threex telephoto lens.In each case, you can see that the distortion is at a level that is hardly bothered. From this, it can be said that you can shoot without worrying about distortion.
Next, I set the resolution to 10m pixels and 40m pixels to check the image quality. The first one was taken at 10m, and the second one was shot at 40m.Just looking at the terminal display does not seem to be different in image quality. However, if you look at some of them, there is a considerable difference in the depiction of the details.Normally, it can be said that enough image quality can be obtained even when shooting at 10m, but if you want to shoot in pursuit of image quality, shooting at 40m seems to be good.
Next, I will introduce a picture of the night view that P20 Pro is good at.The first is a merry -go -round of an amusement park.Although there were many light sources, it was a relatively bright environment, but only the vicinity of the light source was bright, and I was able to shoot clearly including the roller coaster route (upper center of the photo) in the background night sky.。
The second piece was shot at night alley, but the building and road surface are brightly photographed, and no collapse is seen. The third one is a picture of a passenger ship that is anchored at the port at night. This is also very vivid, including the illuminations of the ship, as well as the light reflection on the surface of the water.
And the fourth photo is an example of shooting in night view mode. This is taken with the shutter speed in 4 seconds, but I can shoot without blurring at all.In addition, we can shoot not only trees illuminated by the light, but also the trees in front of the lights that are not directly hit.The fifth photo is taken with the night view mode off from the same place, but it is clear that the reflection on the trees and the surface of the water in the front can be more clearly depicted compared to that. There is an impression that it is a picture by image processing, but the night view photo is better in the night view mode.
All of these night view photos are taken by hand. The fact that you can take this kind of night view with handheld shooting without preparing a tripod or the like will be a great attraction of the P20 Pro.
