Huawei Technologies (Huawei) unveiled new smartphones "Huawei P30 Pro" and "Huawei P30" at a launch event held in Paris on March 26th local time. The back of the two models is colorful and shiny, but most importantly, the embedded technology can become the leading specialty of Samsung's "Galaxy S10 +", "Galaxy S10" and "Galaxy S10e", which is exactly what Huawei is looking forward to.
Huawei P30 ProWhat attracts the author's attention is the Huawei P30 Pro. The 6.47-inch screen is beautiful and bright, with a small gap in the upper center for the front camera (non-display area). The source of high performance is Huawei's highest chip, Kirin980. Equipped with OS "EMUI9.1" with independent UI "Android Pie". Equipped with on-screen optical fingerprint scanner, high-speed battery charging and wireless charging can also be carried out.
Of all the technologies on the P30 Pro, the real highlights are the four cameras on the back. Equipped with an ordinary 40 million-pixel lens, 20 million-pixel ultra-wide-angle lens, 8 million-pixel telescope lens and ToF sensor. The telescope lens can be magnified at high magnification by using a magnifying glass (periscope) system that refracts light with a prism. In addition to the optical 5x zoom, a 10x hybrid zoom with almost no damage to the overall quality can be achieved. As a smartphone, this is ultra-high magnification zoom performance, which can be expanded to details that appear to almost collapse in the usual digital zoom. There's a 32 million-pixel camera in front.
Huawei P30 Pro and P30 will be available around the world on March 26th. The price of the P30 Pro in the UK starts at £899 (about 131,000 yen) for a 128G-byte model and £1099 (about 160000 yen) for a 512g-byte model. The P30 (128 gigabytes of storage) is 699 pounds (102,000 yen) in the UK.
The standard P30 has a smaller picture, or a lightweight version. It is plain in both models, but at least there is a headphone Jack. This is not available in P30 Pro.
