Netflix returns rights to Marvel's Daredevil to Disney Fans plead for the series to return

Netflix's drama "Daredevil", which began distribution in 2015 and was unfortunately canceled in 2018. And on November 29th of this year, two years after the cancellation, the contract between Disney/Marvel and Netflix expired, and Disney/Marvel got the rights to make Daredevil appear in movies and dramas. His return has become a hot topic among fans.

To briefly explain what kind of drama it is, "Daredevil" is a work that shares the world view with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and is exposed to chemicals at an early age. The story of Matt Murdock, a man who gained superhuman senses instead of losing them, works as a lawyer during the day and fights evil that cannot be judged by law as a vigilante "Daredevil" at night.

It will continue into Season 3, with the series sharing characters with Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Punisher, as well as forming another team, The Defenders” was released in 2017.

Netflix's Marvel series

Daredevil was a very well-received series, including its final season, but Netflix announced the cancellation of Iron Fist and Luke Cage in a rather abrupt way, leaving Daredevil as a series. Other series including were also discontinued one after another.

At the time, there were rumors that there was a creative split between the production team and Netflix, but the specific reason for the cancellation remains a mystery to this day. It's a bit of a problem for fans that Netflix doesn't provide specific data such as the number of viewers, let alone the reason for the cancellation. Please at least tell me the reason.

Looking forward to Daredevil joining the MCU!

Anyway, with the return of the rights this time, the fans who have been doing petitions for the return of the visual rights since the series was discontinued are using the #SaveDaredevil tag again. Posted on Twitter and trended with over 65,000 tweets. Above all, it seems that there were many voices calling for the re-appointment of the lead actor, Charlie Cox.

It's not clear at this point if the voice will reach Disney and the series will actually be revived, but I'm a big fan personally, so I'm sure.

However, at this stage, distribution rights for the episode currently being distributed on Netflix have not expired, so it may be quite difficult to develop it in the form of a continuation. Even if a revival is impossible, at least I want Daredevil and his friends to be involved in other MCU movies and dramas.

Anyway, it's a wasteful series to end here. I think it will be distributed on Netflix for a while, so if you haven't seen it yet, please take this opportunity. You should be able to understand why the fans who wish for a revival are so loud!
