NEC "VersaPro Type VT" is a 10.1-inch 2in1 PC. As you can see from the specifications that the minimum configuration is 4GB of memory and 64GB of storage / eMMC, it is generally an entry class, but various devices and equipment are available as options, including LTE support, making it easy to handle in business. Finished.
And this time, the 2017 model was announced. The same model in 2016 was equipped with Atom x7-Z8750 in the processor, but it has been upgraded to Celeron N3350. The biggest change is here.
Other small differences include a change in the storage method of the digitizer pen, support for straps, and a pen that can be used for about 50 minutes in 15 seconds with a supercapacitor. The number of pixels of the front camera has been increased, the optional keyboard dock has been improved, and the keyboard dock and expansion cradle are compatible with Wake on LAN. The main specifications of the minimum configuration are as follows.

The processor is the Apollo Lake generation Celeron N3350. It has 2 cores/2 threads, and the clock starts at 1.1 GHz. Up to 2.4GHz. The cache is 2MB and the TDP/SDP is 6W/2W respectively.
The memory is 4GB with onboard LPDDR3, and the storage is 64GB with eMMC (128GB arrived this time). The OS is equipped with a 64-bit version of Windows 10 Pro.
Graphics are Intel HD Graphics 500 with built-in processor. Equipped with Micro HDMI for external output. The display is a glossy 10.1-inch IPS type 1,920 x 1,200 dots. Supports 10-point touch and digitizer pen.
The network does not have a wired LAN, and the wireless LAN supports IEEE 802.11ac. It also has Bluetooth 4.1. Other interfaces include USB 3.0 x 2, front 2 million pixel / rear 5 million pixel web camera, microSD card slot, voice input/output.
Also, as I wrote at the beginning, it comes with a digitizer pen that can be used for about 50 minutes in 15 seconds with a supercapacitor.
Sensors are acceleration, geomagnetism, and gyro. GPS is available only for models with LTE.
The size is 262 x 179.9 x 11.9mm (width x depth x height), and the weight is about 647g. Battery life is about 11 hours.
With this configuration, you can choose eMMC 128GB, fingerprint sensor, LTE, Office Home &
For LTE, Nano SIM card slot (SIM lock free), LTE-CA is band 1+18/1+19/1+21/3+19, LTE is band 1 (2,000MHz)/3 (1,700 MHz) / 18 (800MHz) / 19 (800MHz) / 21 (1,500MHz), 3G is band 1 (2,000MHz) / 6 (800MHz) / 19 (800MHz).
Front. 2 million pixel camera on the center of the panel. Power LED on top right. The back of the speaker is in the thin slits on the bottom left and right. Rear camera in the top center. Recessed left/bottom side for optional fingerprint sensor on the left. Lock port and power input on the left side. Dock connector on the bottom side. The right / upper side that you can see that it is quite thick. Power button, volume ± button, audio input/output, USB 3.0 x 2, microSD card slot, Micro HDMI on the right side. Digitizer pen storage on the top side. Weight (body). 649 g accessories etc. by actual measurement. The size of the AC adapter is 90 x 40 x 28mm (same), weight 174g, output 20V/2.25A. The digitizer pen has an electrode on the side, and it charges when stored in the main unitThe housing is a 10.1-inch tablet that tends to be seen from the front. However, since it is 11.9mm thick, it feels quite bulky when viewed from the side.
However, according to the site, this is a “150kgf class resistance” robust design and a 76cm drop test, so I wonder if it can’t be helped to maintain its strength.
The front has a slightly wider border. A 2-megapixel camera on the center of the panel, a power LED on the upper right, and a speaker on the lower left and right slits.
The back is the rear camera on the center. There is an optional fingerprint sensor recess on the left.
Lock port and power input on the left side. Power button, volume ± button, audio input/output, USB 3.0 x 2, microSD card slot, Micro HDMI on the right side. Dock connector on the bottom side. A digitizer pen storage area is placed on the upper side.
This digitizer pen storage also doubles as a pen charger. The size of the attached AC adapter is 90 x 40 x 28 mm (same), weight 174 g, output 20 V / 2.25 A.
The display is a 10.1-inch IPS. Brightness, contrast, color development, and viewing angles are all fine. Even at the lowest brightness, you can see enough in a dark room. 10-point touch is also good. The included digitizer pen can also be operated without stress.
Now, I would like to do a battery benchmark test of a digitizer pen that can be used for about 50 minutes in 15 seconds with a supercapacitor, whereas the 2016 model used 1 AA battery, but the charging time is 15 Seconds are good, but before that it needs to be fully discharged.
After thinking about it, I decided to put a slightly tall accessory on the side of the main unit, fix the pen diagonally, and place the pen tip on the screen as it is (the main unit's display and power are always on).
After discharging until it stopped responding in this state (I set it at night and it was finished when I woke up in the morning), I stored it for 15 seconds and charged it. When I was scribbling with a pen while watching a movie, it certainly worked for more than 50 minutes (roughly).
The battery will be charged while it is stored in the main unit, so unless there is a lot of trouble, the battery will not run out. In addition, a strap can be attached to the 2017 model.
No vibration or noise. Heat generation is hot when a load such as a benchmark test is applied, but in the normal operation range, the right half was mainly warm. As for the sound, bass does not come out, but I wonder if the power will sound as a business model.
This is the body side. After that it becomes an optional keyboard dock and cradle.
keyboard dock. Isolation type without numeric keypad. The fixation to the Dock is three convexes including the connector, and the neodymium magnet key pitch including the main body. Approximately 18.5 mm by actual measurement (key pitch: 18.5 mm, key stroke: 1.8 mm in the specifications). Closed areas where the pitch is narrow mainly on the front and right side. It has a solid atmosphere and is quite cool. It's just a little thick from the oblique back when united. This is the maximum panel angle. USB 3.0 x 2, HDMI, Ethernet, power input in the back, weight when locking port keyboard dock combined. 1,291g cradle by actual measurement. When the cradle with the same three protrusions as the keyboard dock is combined (from the back). USB 3.0 x 2, HDMI, Ethernet, power input, lock port in the back and the weight of the side-by-side cradle exactly the same as the keyboard dock. 412 g and others by actual measurement. VGA conversion adapter, USB mouse. The strap is sold separately, and the keyboard dock that was specially sent together this time is an isolation type without a numeric keypad. Although the pitch is narrow mainly on the front and right side, it is secured by about 18.5 mm (specification key pitch: 18.5 mm, key stroke: 1.8 mm). Is the keystroke feeling a little firm and has a click feeling? For docking, there is a connector in the center and protrusions on the left and right. In addition, it is fixed with a neodymium magnet, including the main body side. The tilt of the panel is maximum in the photograph. Arrange USB 3.0 × 2, HDMI, Ethernet, power input, lock port behind. Wired LAN supports Gigabit Ethernet.
It weighs 641g by itself. Approximately 1.3 kg when combined with the main body. As a 10.1-inch 2in1, if the keyboard dock is light, it may fall backwards, so it's a pity that it doesn't weigh less than 1kg, but this type is a general weight.
The cradle is similar to the keyboard dock without the keyboard, but in a different color. The arrangement of each connector on the back is the same. The weight alone is 412g. Both Ethernets support "Wake on LAN". At 412g, it's not too much of a hassle to carry around with you.
