Sony announced the complete wireless earphone (TWS) "LinkBuds (LinkBuds) WF-L900". It is the smallest and lightest Sony TWS. Available in white and gray.
A newly developed ring-shaped driver unit that does not block your ears. This allows you to hear the surrounding sounds naturally. Because it is small and lightweight, it can be installed at all times. Compatible with IPX4 equivalent drip-proof.
For the first time Sony headphones use the resin material used for the main body and case, recycled plastic that utilizes factory-recovered resin is used. The individual packaging has achieved zero plastic usage.
It can be played for about 5.5 hours with the main unit alone, and can be played for a total of about 17.5 hours including charging with the attached case. It supports quick charging, and can be played for about 90 minutes with a 10-minute charge.
Compatible with the head tracking function of Sony's Sound AR application "Locatone". When playing an AR game, you can hear the surrounding sounds mixed with the sounds of the game, making it possible to play a more immersive game. Collaboration with Niantic has also been announced.
By linking with the 3D audio map application "Microsoft Soundscape", the direction of the destination can be recognized by the beacon sound without holding the smartphone. Information on surrounding buildings and intersections can be acquired by voice, making walking around the city richer.
The release date is February 25th. The estimated market price is around 23,000 yen.
