From final, the first completely wireless earphones bearing their own brand name have appeared (* excluding collaboration products). It is the "final ZE3000" that was unveiled at the autumn headphone festival 2021 and attracted attention. It will be released on December 17th (Friday), and the direct sales price will be 15,800 yen.
As you can imagine from the name, the ZE3000 was developed as a wireless version of the famous machine "E3000". Although the E3000 is low-priced, it is an earphone that is highly evaluated for its natural sound making that audiophiles can understand, not the tone that exaggerates the low and high frequencies that tend to be in this price range.
Based on this development policy, it is said that the design was advanced based on academic knowledge such as acoustic engineering and psychoacoustics. To achieve this goal, it is equipped with two new innovations: "f-Link damping mechanism", a newly designed driver, and "f-Core for Wireless".
Internal structure of the housing
The f-Link damping mechanism is a design that optimizes the internal pressure of the housing. If you want to make a completely wireless earphone waterproof, you have to omit the vent hole (air vent hole). As a result, there is a problem that the bass characteristics tend to be excessive. In addition, tuning of high frequency characteristics becomes difficult, and the "achievement of natural sound" that ZE3000 aims at becomes difficult. Therefore, final aimed to optimize the internal pressure by providing a large acoustic space inside. This is why the ZE3000's housing is a little larger than other fully wireless earphones.

The newly designed driver f-Core for Wireless was adopted to further reduce the problem of distortion. In final, taking advantage of the ability to design the driver in-house, we reviewed the manufacturing method and newly designed a driver that is lightweight and has performance comparable to a larger diameter and is installed in the ZE3000.

In addition, the ZE3000 is also characterized by having a square shape like the company's A series earphones so that it can be securely attached to the ear with its unique three-point support method.
The continuous playback time is 7 hours, and the supported codecs are SBC / AAC / aptX Adaptive. Accessories are a charging case, earpiece 5 size (SS / S / M / L / LL), USB Type-C charging cable, and two colors, black and white, are available.
The essential sound quality is, as the name of No. 3000, has an excellent band balance, and it is a very well-organized sound. Compared to "ag TWS04K" supervised by final, there is less exaggeration, and especially the low range is tight and well controlled. The amount of low frequencies is not large, but it produces a high-quality bass sound with impact. The treble range is clear and extends upwards well, but it is not tight and is still a good high range expression. Since the bass is modest, the vocals can be heard clearly, and the characteristics of each male and female voice can be clearly understood. Because it is clear and has high resolution, it excels in detailed reproduction of voice quality.
As for the overall sound quality level, it makes me want to compare it with the company's A series rather than the E3000. It is recommended for people who value speed rather than power in pop and rock as well as jazz and classical music.
It can be said that the ZE3000 is a product that has the potential to become the standard for completely wireless earphones in the future.
