Available in two colors, white and black. The AH-C830NCW is equipped with a dual noise canceling function and is sold for just under 20,000 yen. The AH-C630W is expected to have a simple function and will be sold in the 9000 yen range.

The biggest feature of the sound master is the particular sound

The AH-C830NCW / C630W is Denon's first fully wireless earphone. In the past, there were sports type and neckband type wireless earphones, but they have been developed mainly for wired earphones.

The new product AH-C830NCW / C630 shares the basic platform related to sound quality and connectivity. It is a product developed with the high-quality sound "Denon Hi-Fi Sound" that is typical of Denon at the center of the concept.

It features high sound quality unique to Denon based on the concept of "Vivid & Spacious" that Sound Master Yamauchi advocates. I aimed for a sound that I would like to listen to until the end once I start listening to the song, so that I can immerse myself in the music. During development, we focused on eliminating the discomfort that Mr. Yamauchi feels when playing earphones. The sense of incongruity is a weakness peculiar to earphone playback, such as the fact that the sound is localized in the head and the multi-layered layer of the sound cannot be seen, or the feeling of openness is poor. In particular, it is characterized by the spaciousness of the space where the sound spreads out of the head, and Mr. Yamauchi also said that the development team gave a rare impression that "a good thing was made".

Driver description

The C830 uses an elliptical screwdriver with a diameter of 11 x 10 mm, and the C630 uses a round screwdriver with a diameter of 10 mm. Both are large diameters for a completely wireless type. It weighs about 5g (one side) and is "light enough to forget that you are wearing it." We are particular about wearability, and we have adopted the most comfortable and calm shape from a total of 24 samples. He chose the stick type because he emphasized that it was easy to settle in the best position, it was difficult to fall, and it did not roll when dropped. The eartips use a two-layer silicon material with different thicknesses for the umbrella and shaft. I chose it with an emphasis on sound quality. Although it costs money, the same thing is included in the C630, which has a narrower price.

We are particular about the selection of ear tips, and if possible, we want you to listen with a genuine combination.

The noise canceling function installed in the C830 is a hybrid type that combines two methods of feedback and feedforward. By improving the algorithm, it is possible to achieve noise cancellation performance that exceeds that of the headband type "AH-GC30". Considering sports and use while moving, the wearer's own vibration sound generated during walking / running can be canceled well.

Internal structure of C830

A touch sensor is used for operation. With the C830, when you touch the touch sensor on the left earphone, noise cancellation, external sound capture, and off are switched in order. The announcement at the time of switching is omitted so that it can respond smoothly even in a quick state, and the specification is such that the mode change can be understood by the sound effect.

C830 is also compatible with Google's "Fast Pair". With the earphones plugged in and the lid open, press and hold the button on the case for 2 seconds to enter pairing mode. Up to 8 devices can be paired. It does not support multipoint connection.

It supports Bluetooth 5.0 and can use SBC / AAC codec. In order to improve communication stability, a 25mm long FPC antenna is used for the antenna as a high-output Class 1 specification. However, he explained that it is not just a matter of preparing hardware, but communication stability with appropriate output control by software, and that there is know-how.

The earphone part is drip-proof specification equivalent to IPX4 for both C830 / 630. The case is charged via USB Type-C. Earphones support 50 minutes of playback with a 10-minute charge, but they do not dare to support quick charging. It is said that this is because the load on the battery is reduced and safety is taken into consideration.
